Berliner Nets - Cosmo

Berliner Nets - Cosmo Overview

Award-winning design excellence

Cosmo is the first completely round rope-play structure to hit the playground market, ushering in a new era of innovation in cable climbing nets for the 5 to 12 age group.

In 2008 Cosmo received the prestigious "Red Dot" design award for excellence in design and quality.

For a modern look and outstanding durability, Cosmo uses stainless steel tubing, powder-coated cast-aluminum connectors, and the patented Astem TT tensioning system, ensuring all tensioning point, connectors and rope loops are safely enclosed.

Berliner nets are designed to meet or exceed the current CAN/CSA Z614, ASTM F1487 and CPSC standards. Because they are European in origin, Berliner nets are also certified to the EN 1176 standard.

The Cosmo series is available in two standard colour combinations; blue-yellow-blue and black-pink-black.

The Cosmo play system is built upon the Cosmo base. The award-winning base is available on its own, with or with the signature soccer ball centre (rubber pods). Cosmo is also available in several ready-made designs using seven distinct play extensions.

Play extensions for Cosmo play structures are as follows:

Climbing wall - A curved vertical climber with cut-outs for hand and footholds. Serves as both a challenging climber and an access point for the Cosmo. HDPE construction.

Climbing ramp - This angled ramp serves as both a climbing wall and a challenging access point for the Cosmo. HDPE construction with aluminum hand and footholds.

Sliding pole - A playground favourite reinvented. This is a favourite way to exit the Cosmo, or a very challenging climb. Stainless steel construction.

Access net - A cable net climber. Serves as both a challenging climber and an access point for the Cosmo. Wide at the top, tapering to a point at ground level.

Banister - Another traditional playground favourite, reinvented by Berliner. Banister rails serve as a slide, a climber and an overhead activity all-in-one. Stainless steel construction.

Rubber pods - Rubber pods can be added to any Cosmo unit for that signature soccer ball centre.

Duck jibe - A popular new spinner from Berliner. Adds a moving play element to the Cosmo, for greater variety.
